Nonprofit Training Opportunities

Practical training for Williamson County nonprofit boards, staff, and volunteers, including governance, fundraising, leadership, and organizational excellence.

Introduction to AI for Nonprofit Leaders

The Williamson County Institute is introducing a practical workshop to help nonprofit boards, staff, and volunteers explore responsible uses of generative AI. The session is designed for organizations that want to improve productivity while protecting confidential information, maintaining human oversight, and staying aligned with their mission and values.

Workshop topics

  • Using AI to develop first drafts of grant narratives and funder reports
  • Synthesizing non-confidential assessment and discussion notes
  • Creating donor communications, newsletters, and outreach content
  • Recognizing privacy, accuracy, bias, copyright, and security risks
  • Developing an acceptable AI use policy for staff, boards, and volunteers

AI should support—not replace—professional judgment, community knowledge, and careful review. Organizations interested in attending or hosting an upcoming Introduction to AI for Nonprofit Leaders session can contact The Institute to discuss availability and training needs.

Additional Training and Facilitation

The Institute also supports board development, organizational assessment, strategic planning, governance, leadership, and customized learning for nonprofits serving Williamson County.
